New Smyrna Beach Family Photographer: The Bozard Family Portrait Photo Session

Last week I photographed several family portraits along a couple different parts of New Smyrna Beach.  This location at Smyrna Dunes Park all the way at the North end of New Smyrna Beach, FL is adjacent to the Ponce DeLeon inlet and in several photos you can see the Ponce Inlet lighthouse in the background.  This is my favorite beach to photograph on because I have so many options for photographic backgrounds from the Ocean, Dunes, the rock jetty, and the light house.  Sunsets on the water of the inlet also work great.  Here are a few of my favorite images from the photo session.

New Smyrna Beach Family Portrait Photographer: The Salsbery Family- Photo Shoot

Last Sunday morning I met the Salsbery family on the beach by their condo in New Smyrna Beach, FL to photograph their family.  They were in town on vacation and wanted the photos as a special gift for their mother/mother-in-law/grandmother.  Aside from the heat of the day, it was above 90 before 10am it was a great photo shoot.  Here are some of my favorite images from the photo session.

New Smyrna Beach, FL Wedding Photographer: Brittany & CJ

Last weekend I had the opportunity to capture the memories of a very important day for Brittany and CJ.  Brittany and CJ were celebrating their 5th year wedding anniversary with a full wedding vow renewal ceremony.  They pulled out all the stops and went all out, and planned a great beach ceremony and a reception for their closest friends and family.  I first met them a few months back when I photographed them for a Couples/Engagement photo session.  I was really excited they loved my work so much that they immediately booked me to photograph their special day.  Here are a few of my favorite images. ENJOY! -Pete

A Daytona Beach Greek Orthodox Baptism Photography

UPDATED 6/17/2011: Video Slide Show Added.

A week and a half ago I had the opportunity to photograph a Greek Orthodox Baptism in Daytona Beach, FL. It was very interesting seeing all the traditions of the Greek Orthodox Church. I would also like to thank Father Joseph for telling me about each of the traditions and allowing me to photograph the event for the family. Here are some of my favorite images from the ceremony.

New Smyrna Beach, FL Wedding Photographer: A Bridal Portrait Session with Starla

UPDATED May 24, 2011:  Video Slide-Show Added.

Last week I was sent to North Carolina to photograph college graduations for one of the other companies that I work for.  After I was finished with photographing all the graduations I had some time to go visit some friends who live up there.  I have known Starla since we were in college together, both studying Political Science.  Just over a year ago Starla got married and her wedding was the first wedding I photographed.  Well, my photography has come along way in that year.  While I was visiting Starla we set up an impromptu Bridal Portrait Session.  The session included everything from old rusted metal buildings, a dog, a tractor ride, and horses.  Here are some of my favorite images from the session.

These two shots were fun.  Starla's husband Brandon got their tractor to give Starla a ride down to the pasture so we could get some shots with the horses.

This is Starla's horse Rosco.  He was more cooperative then I was expecting and I was able to get some great photos.

Thank-You Starla, Brandon, and Rosco for making this photo shoot work.

Cheers,

-Pete

Portraits in the Park- New Smyrna Beach, FL Family Portrait Photographer

UPDATED:  The Photograher's Favorites

These are some of my favorite images that I created from the family portrait photo session I had on Wednesday at Riverside Manatee Park in NEw Smyrna Beach, FL.  I just finished all the editing and even used some new effects on some of these images because the subjects just fit.

I really like the effect I used below.  It just draws you in to the eyes which are the sharpest focus point of the image.

Anyways, this was shot at Riverside Manatee Park in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Stephanie scheduled me to capture her family photographs as soon as she saw some other images I had captured of one of her co-worker's families.

This was a fun shoot, even though I was racing the setting sun. I have some great images, so stay tuned for an update coming soon with more images and a slide-show.

Day89: The Important Details- Wedding Photography

Day89: The Important Details Originally uploaded by Emanon Photography

I missed yesterday for my 365Project, after shooting almost 2000 frames at a friends wedding this past weekend, I had to give my cameras a rest.

Today's shot comes along with a Wedding photography tip. I have read many books on wedding photography, and I have never seen anything like this. In today's market, many wedding photographers put together wedding albums, and the many ways to get book albums published, many photos are designing them. So here is my tip, at the wedding, grab a couple extra copies of the wedding program, ask the bride to send you a copy of the invitation, and grab a copy of anything else that the guests are given (If there are extra copies). Then you can take these back to your studio, or another area you can control the lighting and have some time to play around and get some creative shots of these. Remember, the bride usually spent a considerable bit of time and effort to plan out every detail here. You can then use these shots as either page background images, or as smaller detail images in the album. In this case, this is the invitation to the wedding I went to this past weekend. I could tell that someone spent a lot of time carefully hand painting and decorating these. While at the wedding the bride told me she painted them all by hand. So, I knew this will be an important detail to include in the album. I shot this with a Lensbabies2.0 special effects lens then tweaked it in Aperture3.
